EcoShield Pest Solutions has a Mission: Exterminate Hunger in the United States.
Exterminate Hunger simplifies hunger relief efforts and partners with local food pantries to feed your community. Help Exterminate Hunger with EcoShield Pest Solutions.
We started Exterminate Hunger over 15 years ago to help those in need and to give people a chance to give back to their communities. We understand food insecurity is prevalent throughout the US, but the struggle is often an invisible one. It can be hard to imagine that our friends, neighbors, coworkers, and even family may be going hungry. The reality is, 1 in 6 Americans face hunger and food scarcity. Someone you know has faced hunger. Someone you know may fight an ongoing battle to feed not only themselves but their families. Someone you know needs your help.
Our goal is to alleviate hunger by making food donations easy for those who support the cause. We collect canned food donations from participating customers, organize and package the goods, and deliver them to local food banks that directly impact the community. Exterminate Hunger simplifies hunger relief efforts and partners with local food pantries to feed your community.
At EcoShield Pest Solutions, we created Exterminate Hunger to support our local communities and combat food insecurity. As a pest control company, we have the privilege of serving our customers and communities by helping families live in a pest-free home. We recognize some people in our communities have fallen on hard times and could use some help. We also recognize that our employees, our customers, and our friends all want to help but often don’t know how to do so.
Exterminate Hunger provides hunger-fighting assistance in 22 states across the country.
Food security is a federal measure of a household’s ability to provide enough food for every person in the household to have an active, healthy life. Food insecurity is one way we can measure the risk of hunger.
According to the USDA, there are over 38 million people in the United States experiencing food insecurity. 12 million of these individuals are children.
Minorities and communities of color experience food insecurity at a disproportionately high rate - this gap has been widened in the wake of the pandemic.
While every community is home to families who face hunger, rural communities have proven to be particularly at risk.
Many families and households experiencing inadequate food supply do not qualify for federal nutrition programs and rely heavily on local food pantries for support.
